“NAUSEATING”

8 x 10" original acrylic painting within 10x10” frame. This painting is apart of my monumental 2021 acrylic painting collection. This artwork was based off of my fear and unease with the concept of pregnancy at the time.I have never wanted kids, and the thought of another being inside of you feeding off of you absolutely freaked me out - which is reflected in the symbolism of the chicken fetus coming from the pregnant stomach. As I've grown older my fear's have simmered, but I cannot think about it for too long. The tree is a representation of the tree of creation and symbolic of a God, watching the reproductive design we have all been assigned.
